The process is carried out in several stages. In the first stage, the topsoil layer is carefully removed, and properly stockpiled to allow aeration and ensure its preservation. We handle this with the utmost care because, once our work is completed, the topsoil will be spread back over the land for full restoration.
In the second stage, on-site screening is performed using a pre-screener operated by an excavator, where quartz pieces larger than 40 mm are separated. This size is suitable for metallurgical use and accounts for 8% of the total. Simultaneously, a front-end loader fills and levels the excavation pit with the remaining processed materials that are below the minimum size.
This model respects the enviroment and is compatible with traditional socioeconomic activities in rural areas. Additionally, we operate on only two hectares at a time, allowing us to minimize visual, environmental, and noise impacts.
Lease Agreement with Landowners
We operate under a lease agreement, previously agreeing on economic conditions and returning the land to its owner in optimal condition once the process is complete. At no time are CAP (Common Agricultural Policy) subsidies lost.
More than 800 landowners have confirmed the excellent condition of their land to resume previous activities, maintaining or even increasing their productivity and profitability after the screening system we implement.
Fulfilling this commitment has allowed us to sustain and harmonize our activities for over 40 years across various regions with a significant concentration of agricultural and livestock farms, as well as sustainable tourism projects.
